The
Performing Arts Department at Sanford School seeks to
provide a program of superior quality where all students are given the
opportunity to experience music and theatre as an academic discipline and as an
art form. Our music courses encourage the appreciation of music
literature in order to enhance and enrich the students’ lives. Sanford’s performance
ensembles expose students to the artistic and communicative values of music and
theatre. We seek to broaden the students’
musical and theatrical education to teach discipline, teamwork, goal-setting,
work-ethic, and to realize their own skills and talents through individual and
collective challenge.
