- More than 30 Sanford students in grades seven through twelve are winners in this year’s regional Scholastic Art Awards competition.

- Lower School student Grace Para was one of four regional finalists in last year's Doodle 4 Google contest.
- The National Art Education Association (NAEA) has selected Sanford faculty member Nina Silverman as the Delaware Middle School Art Educator of the Year for 2009.
